The four axes the rubric scores against are additionality (the emissions reduction would not have happened without the credit), permanence (mitigation is not reversed on a 25+ year horizon), leakage (mitigation is not offset by emissions shifting elsewhere), and double-counting (the same tonne is not also claimed by the host country or another buyer).
